 It is the first of April ... time for Kat's photo~heart connection.  It is such a wonderful community where we can share our photography ... that special photo that tugs at our heart ... the one that really connects with our soul.  Doesn't that sound just wonderful?

Tonight i sat down and looked through all the photos i had taken in March.  This is the one that spoke to me above all the rest ... the one that spoke to my heart.

It was our last major snow of the season.  Winter left us with one more magical beautiful day.  It was the type of March snow that was wet and heavy ... the kind that clung to the trees and sparkled when the sun shone. 

A true winter wonderland ... 

It was if winter knew it was saying its last good~bye ...

photo~heart connection ... the february edition

 It is the first of March ... time for Kat's photo~heart connection.  It is such a wonderful community where we can share our photography ... that special photo that tugs at our heart ... the one that really connects with our soul.  Doesn't that sound just wonderful? 

I have a confession to make ... i hate winter ... not every winter ... just this winter.  As i am writing this post, we are having our third, or maybe it is our fourth polar vortex this year.  And a snowstorm is passing through Chicagoland once again.  

Winter 2014 is robbing me of my creative spirit.  As much as i try to pick up my camera and click away ... the inspiration has left me.  Everything seems just a tad out of focus. I have tried hard all winter to keep up my mojo.  But my world just seems so white ... so void of color.  Dare i say that photography has become a chore ... gasp!  

So as February comes to an end, i find myself counting the days till spring ... 19 to be exact ... when color surrounds me once again ... and my creative spirit soars!

my photo~heart connection...the 2.14 edition...

It is the first of February...time for Kat's photo~heart connection.  It is such a wonderful community where we can share our photography... the special photo that tugs at our heart... the one that really connects with our soul.  Doesn't that sound just wonderful? 

I am afraid I have to admit, that I fell off the wagon last year with this wonderful exercise...but its a new year...and a new commitment to my photo~heart connection. 

We are having a winter that just will not end...never ending snow...sub zero temperatures...and oh my, that wind...
So January became a time for me to nest...a time for me to recharge.  

Instead of allowing myself go into deep depression...which certainly can happen this time of year...i decided to fill my home with things that lift my spirits.  

And flowers certainly make my spirits soar! 
I need something live...something growing...something that will remind me that springtime is coming and winter will soon become a distant memory.

photo heart springtime connection...

It is the first of the month and that means one thing...time for another photo~heart connection.

I reviewed all my photos that i took last month to see which one i stood out...

you know, that one that tugs at your heart. 

Spring arrived last month and with it an explosion of colour.  The temperatures were record breaking day after day.  Everything was alive with colour...the crocus, tulips, daffodils, crab trees, the red buds...sigh...

Everyday i took a walk with my camera at my side photographing all the changes of the season. It is wonderful to be able to get outside again after our winter;. to work out in the flower beds, take long walks with my doodlebug, yes,even weeding is fun!  

The return of longer days, the sunshine,the warmth, the colour; all awakens my soul and inspires me.

for first few months of the year, i had felt  so

uncreative. Taking photos had become a chore and i was struggling trying to push thru this block.

But now with springtime i feel excited again, itching to get behind the lens!

So when i looked back over my photos,

 i decided i just had to make a collage of

 the colours of springtime.

puppy love...

March 1st...and time for another photo~heart connection!

After looking over all the photos i took this past month, i have to say,

 this by far is my favorite love photo.

Can you tell which teddy is real? 

My doddlebug is right in the middle of all the stuffed animals.

He is only one year old and usually very active.

but that day he posed so well at our photo shoot!

Jake is our toy goldendoodle.  His mother is a mini goldendoodle and his father a toy poodle.  He is so lovable and has a super soft coat.  His best days are when he is at the ring training!  Right now we are teaching him to put his toys away!  I could not even get my kids to do this when they were young...-:) 

 He has been given a Canine Good Citizen award and now we are doing more obedience training.  Our goal is have him become a therapy dog.  But right now, he still has alittle too much puppy in him.

He has brought us so much joy!  We all love to snuggle and get

those wonderful puppy kisses. 

Jake has captured our heart for sure!
