As you know by now, I have a love for knitting. My wonderful sister-in-law and good friend, cross stitched this gorgeous knitting angel for me. It has become one of my favorite pieces in my home. I wish this picture could show you all the details. In addition to the many shades of DMC floss, it has many tiny pearl and copper beads and shimmery metallic threads. The lamb, the wings, the socks, mitten and basket were all cross stitched and cut out and adhered to the body of the angel. I was so inspired by my sister-in-law's work, that I made three angels for my dear friends for Christmas gifts last year... the knitting angel, the bride angel, and the holiday baking angel. I worked on them early every morning throughout the winter while the house was still quiet. It was a great way to start my day!
