What a fabulous day for alittle daydreamin'.
The air was crisp and clear...
the skies were deep blue dotted with puffy white clouds...
and the water was as clear as crystal.
Seriously...the perfect day for a stroll on the "walk and gawk" at Lake Geneva.
The "walk and gawk" is a 21 mile public path around the lake. It hugs the lake's banks on one side and on the other are the most dreamy homes.
Lake Geneva is only about 11/2 hours from Chicago...and is well worth your time. The drive itself is a delight...you will find yourself cruising thru beautiful countryside.
This is my absolute favorite walk...it is here that i always get lost in my thoughts.
And this day was no exception.
Imagine living here year round and waking up to these wide sweeping views.
And while i am dreaming...how about living this charming home right on the lake front...complete with a stunning red maple, a carriage house and even a tree swing!
And my dreaming gets even better...how about owning that sailboat?...
sailing the waters at sunset...sigh...
It has a stocked galley for your dining delight and even a cozy bed that you can curl up in while the water rocks you into sweet slumber.
The afternoon was such a delight. Everywhere I looked, I was surrounded by such beauty. It was so sad to leave that day...
but i will always have my daydreams!
Until next time...

Your template looks really nice with the images.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe that in the 23 years I lived in Illinois, I never went to Lake Geneva? I am definitely going to visit next summer when I go home to see my family in Champaign. It will be a fun road trip with the kids. So beautiful!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to sit or walk and dream. I love your images and blog once again.
ReplyDeleteThat place does look like a dream and your images are gorgeous! It also reminds me a little bit of Vancouver BC. I'll have to go to Lake Geneva if I ever come close to Chicago!
