"baby...we were born to run"
~bruce springsteen~
The calendar says that it is the middle of August...but the weather feels alot more like the September. Sunny blue skies days and cool evenings. Just the kind of weather that makes me ignore my daily chores and enjoy the outdoors.
Look what i found on my walk this evening. Isn't this just the most adorable bike? I am sure it is not the kind of bike Bruce Springsteen had in mind when he wrote "Born to Run"...smile.
It was love at first sight...the frame color, the red rims, the Nantucket hand woven basket. I could just see myself pedaling around town on this beauty...my guess is that it does not even have gears. Such a beautiful old fashioned kind of bike...sigh.

Today I am linking up with Kathy over at her delightful blog..."You will Shoot Your Eye Out". Her Song~ography prompt today is a Bruce Springsteen's song ..."Born to Run".
I was so not born to run...i am so much more of a "stay at home" kind of girl. This bike is just my speed.

ReplyDeleteWonderful shot of this lovely bike. I love that color but I want it on a 1956 T-Bird Hardtop.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, that looks like the bikes I see down the Jersey Shore. And it's Tiffany blue...MY kinda color :) That basket is such a delight too. I would LOVE to have a bike like that to run down to the local shop and pick up some produce each day in that basket. Now THAT would be a great kinda "born to run", dontcha think? Thanks for linking up to Song-ography t his week.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully framed-You totally create the mood in this shot-who cares what Bruce was talking about.
ReplyDeleteI love this bike! And...I was not born to run either. With my anatomy, if I ran my face would be covered with bruises.
