I love Friday Finds, with Kim Klassen..."it is a place to gather and share...a place to cherish life's simple pleasures"...doesn't that sound like such a inviting place?
My find this week is the blossoming of my paperwhites. Every Christmas, Santa brings me some bulbs. He must know just how much i love watching them grow and flower during the long winter months. The flowers seem to tide me over until the ground outside warms up and my spring bulbs awaken.
Like a child, i am forever reminding myself to distinguish between my needs and my wants. Do i really need this...or do i really only want it?
And i have come to discover that flowers are definitely a need for me! How about you...what are your needs? What do you need to help you get through this never ending winter?

I can smell them here mmmm... We don't have snow but pretty soon I think we are going to need a boat so much rain !!!
ReplyDeletePerfect! So delicate, I really like the depth of field and the symmetry. I need a hot beverage, tea or coffee, an occasional fire in the fireplace to warm me up and colorful flowers to cheer things up. This morning it is 31 degrees F here in Ohio, almost flip flop weather compared to what we have had lately.

ReplyDeleteI too love it when I receive gifts of bulbs at Christmas time. It really makes the winter a little less dreary....I definitely need my cup of tea and my knitting....keeps my hands busy when I can't get outside.....

Oh, such delicate, dreamy flowers! Love this! Our winter is much milder here, so my need to be outside is much easier to fulfill! We may get a little snow this next week and I can't wait to get out in it.
