I adore my find this week. I discovered Juliska years ago in a small shop in Chicago. It was love at first sight ... I knew right away i needed to bring her into my home and invite her to my table.
And finally after years of lusting ... all twelve place settings, serving pieces, and silverware have made it to my cupboard.
The silver is weighted just right and each dish is handmade to perfection.
At first i wanted to tuck her away behind glass in my china cabinet like a precious gem ... just stand back and admire.
But i quickly realized that i needed to use her everyday ... to enjoy her ... and make each of our meals alittle more special!

ReplyDeleteOh Nancy!! What a joy to have and enjoy! And I LOVE the tablecloth too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Your image and your table setting. I am sure every meal feels like a special occasion. Love the dots!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
so pretty...
ReplyDeleteYou truly found some wonderful pieces and good that you are using them …it is a daily little pleasure.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful silverware and good for you for using it everyday! What do we think we're saving for, anyhow?
ReplyDeleteMy first mother-in-law always had a beautifully set table for everyday meals and holidays/special occasions. What made it beautiful was all her pieces matched. She only had the one set of dishes. I adopted that idea too. No special occasion set that sat in the hutch except for a few times a year. I only changed my dinner set once in all my married years (currently I'm hooked on Franciscan Desert Rose). It just sort of makes everyday feel like a special day - even when we are having Kraft Mac and Cheese for dinner.
ReplyDeleteYour table setting is absolutely pretty!
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture! (Like every week ;-)
Best, Brigitte
