packing up my memories ...

"like snowflakes, my Christmas memories gather and dance ...
each beautiful,  unique and too soon gone"
~deborah whipp~
It is Friday once again ...  "a time that we stop ... pause ... simply ... cherish life's simple pleasures".  I love how she has magically formed a like~minded community ... total inspiration!

Listen ... what do you hear?

Well, if your home is like mine, you might hear stillness ... quiet ... calm.  The hustle and the bustle of the holidays is over ... as good as it was, this tranquil feeling is so welcomed.
And now it is time to take down the Christmas tree, sweep up the stray pine needles and glitter. Then carefully wrap up my treasured ornaments ... my Christmas memories.

I love the stillness this time of year.

Until next time,

  1. Your ornaments are so very beautiful! I love the softness and tones of both your images. My Christmas tree is still up, maybe this weekend I will get it put away...

  2. Your ornaments are lovely! I always take my ornaments of the tree slowly, reflecting on each one and the memories they hold.

  5. Yes, you're absolutely right, NancyJean. There's something lovely and precious in the stillness after the storm. I'm always sad to wrap up Christmas for another year, and at the same time strangely relieved to be able to put it away for another year. Still loving your very beautiful decorations. All the best for a lovely weeekend, Bonnt

  6. Our tree was down by the Saturday after Christmas. Scout needed to be able to see out the window again after a month of being denied.

  7. I am happy to see these ornaments all made it back to the box. I found out yesterday what happens to an antique ornament when it meets a hardwood floor.

  8. We packed ours away about a week ago and yes it's nice to get the house back to a (normal) routine. Still it always seems a little sad packing away all the pretty Christmas things. You have some gorgeous ornaments here.
