It started out with a lovely mother of the bride brunch at Las Palmas, Rachel's favorite mexican restaurant, and enjoyed a delicious brunch.
The bridesmaids were all so sweet, young and beautiful!

Rachel gave each of the girls a custom made Lill purse. She had them
made in the wedding colours...yellow, green and grey.
Also she gave them the sweetest ring!
She gave the moms a stunning vintage brouch and a lovely Antropoligie mug. She even bestowed a vintage broch for the grandmothers! She did not leave anyone out! Toasts were made and happy tears were shed.
After brunch we headed over to Salvage One for the wedding rehersal. It was a steamy hot humid day, but the rehersal went well. The wedding planner was well worth the money! She kept us organized and made the weekend stress free. I am not sure what we would have done without her!
We went thru the the ceremony and got an idea of what the next day would bring.

Kyle, Rachel's brother~in~law played the guitar for the processional... Say Yes
The rehersal was over and we all headed to the historic Burnham Hotel to take a much needed shower and rest. That evening was the rehersal dinner. It was held at the Birchwood Kitchen...a delicious resturant in Bucktown. The weather had magically cooled off and we had a delightful time outside on their patio.
The meal was fabulous...
~Seared Salmon with barley cherry mint salad
~Grilled Flank Steak with hash and roasted corn salsa
~Farfalle Pasta
~Mixed Green Salad with citrus chive vinaigrette
~Vegtable Panzanella
I was so so proud of both of my children! They are both so grown up now.
And here is the happy couple sharing another kiss on the balcony.
Check back on friday for the big day!
Until next time...
