a beautiful surprise...

I received an unexpected surprise today.
No, it is not my birthday nor my anniversary.
So you can only imagine my surprise when the doorbell rang and there was a florist delivery person!

Unexpected surprises can be such a bright beacon of light in my day.
It can be a long distance phone call from a friend, a letter delivered by old~fashioned mail, a visit from a neighbor with time to sit on my back porch and chat or that special delivery!

These beauties were sent from my landscape designer.  She heard about my broken toe and thought that this would brighten my day.  Boy was she ever right.  The colours are amazing!  I grabbed my camera and started shooting.

Now i have to say that Anna is one great designer!
Whenever they are finished with a job, it is like they waved their magic wand ...
 and beauty is everywhere!
Thornapple is due to come back in acouple of weeks to complete phase 2 of the front and side yard.  In addition to new plantings, they are going to lay Virginia blue stone on our front porch.  Also Anna has designed a "healing garden" for the side yard.  I can not wait to be able to step outside my side door and pick myself a bouquet!

This unexpected surprise today made me think about how i could should pay it forward to others.
This is what helps the world go round, don't you think?
