these are a few of my favorite things...

No, my favorite things are not raindrops on roses or even whiskers on kittens...
although they are pretty cool, especially if they are photographed well...sigh.

My favorite things are runiculus, Downton Abbey and
La Tartine Gourmande.

It was such a delightful Mother's Day weekend.  We celebrated with my dear mother~in~law on Saturday and my lovely mother on Sunday.
Both my children and my beautiful daughter~in~law were here.
What more could a girl ask for?
Nothing...i had it all!
But then each brought such thoughtful gifts...my favorite things!

My son and his wife brought me an amazing bouquet of flowers from their favorite florist,  Asrai Garden. I have them in a vase sitting on my kitchen sill where i can enjoy them throughout the day.  Asrai is a small quaint shoppe in Wicker Park  just overflowing with beauty!  If you find yourself in the city, be sure to visit!
I used one of the ranunculus, my favorite springtime flower,  to photograph and share with "flower art friday". Be sure to click here to see other floral photos!  I promise that you will love them all!

My daughter bought me my second favorite thing...
the first two season's of Downton Abbey and the book!  I think it is my all time favorite television series.
I just love watching and getting wrapped up in the lives of this English family.  If you have not seen this show, try it, i think you will fall in love also!

And lastly, my third favorite thing...
a new cookbook to add to my every growing collection!
I have been following Beatrice Peltre's blog for several years now. She is a food writer, stylist and photographer, originally from France and now lives in Boston.   Not only are the recipes wonderful, her photography is over the top!  She just published her first cookbook a few months ago and it is just as wonderful as her blog!  Be sure to click here to follow her.  Once again, i do not think you will be disappointed!

I hope you enjoyed my favorite things and they become yours also!

"i simply remember my favorite things,
and then i don't feel so bad"

Until next time...

I too love ranunculus. We have had a bit of strange spring, so it looks like ours will be a bit late this year, but I am waiting very patiently. My camera however, is getting very impatient! :-)
