beyond layers and a colour palette....

Today we had another wonderful lesson from the amazing Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers class...A Colour Storyboard.
This class goes for the entire year..it is amazing how much i am learning.  Photoshop used to be a huge mystery to me, and now because of Kim, it is becoming almost second nature!
Anyone who knows me can tell you that i am not a computer geek, in fact i do everything possible to stay away from them.  But now in this digital camera age, i have been forced to  learn....and it has been so rewarding!!
In today's lesson we learned how to make colour palettes around our photos...
too cool!  I now can make circles, squares, rectangles, hearts...you name the shape and i can do it!!
Using the colour picker, i am able to pick the colours right out of my photo and put them into the shape...how cool is that?

Once again, thank you dear Kim!

Until next time...

  1. Nancy Jean, Great work on this. I have yet to do my color story. I have always liked your photo, and the About is not personal, but I like the part about inspiring yourself. This is a great color story.

  3. Your coneflowers are so sweet looking at that angle. I love the color circles and bit of frame you added (I must have missed the part on how to make shapes). It is amazing what all photoshop can do once you know the right buttons to click, and little slider to slide, right? :) You are doing fabulous!!!

    1. Hi Beverly, instead of using the rectangle or the circle, i tried using some shapes, like hearts...it worked! This class is just so inspirational!
