Springtime...

It is Memorial Day weekend here outside of the Windy City.  What an awful weekend!  Today we had severe thunderstroms, lighting, tornado watches, heavy rains with flood warnings.  Yesterday was rain and cold; tomorrow sunny, 92 degrees and humid!

I took these pictures the beginning of May and decided that this was a great time to post them.  The pictures remind me of a fairy's garden...so magical!

These are someone's gardens just down the street.  Every spring it is such a treat to drive by these beauties each day!
The flowers just seem to go on forever.

I can not imagine how much work must go into making these gardens so amazing.  I just love the old rusted barbwire fence surrounding the garden and the rambling rose branches.
I noticed that this year the property is for sale.  I so hope that a person with that special green thumb buys the property and carries on this beautiful tradition!

These tulips just have to brighten up your Memorial Day weekend..especially if you are having weather like ours!  (Let's hope that this not a preview of what our summer will be!)

where I can walk undisturbed"  ...  Walt Whitman

See you next time...
