the birds are back...and so am i!
It has been over one month since i last updated my blog... June 4th was my last visit!
You know how "they" say that parents always blame everything on their children?
Well, i guess i can blame my son for my absence.
He and his fiance were married on July 3rd! I have been so very busy helping them out with all those little details. Rachel and Chris did all the major planning and organizing for their wedding. I did all the fun things...the toss bags, the programs, the invites, the signs, etc. I enjoyed every minute of the work! I will have pictures and future blogs about the big weekend soon.
But for now i just wanted to let everyone know that i am back blogging again!
Also, my favorite bird has come back this year. I have the cutest hummingbird feeder right outside my kitchen window. Every morning and evening while i am preparing the meals, my beautiful, delicate friends pay a visit.
This year a male has found my feeder. Just look at his bright red throat...oh, all those vivid colours! Every week my daughter and i prepare their food ...4 parts water to 1 part sugar. We stir and bring the tasty solution to a boil. Then we cool and refrigerate it.
As much as i enjoyed the wedding weekend and wish i could live it all over again and again; I am also glad to be back into my routine!
