Here it is, the 22nd of October and we are still having a perfect fall. It was sunny and 65 degrees today. Another perfect autumn day.
My daughter went to Boo at the Zoo with a group of kids and fantastic counselors, hubby was home recovering from surgery he had earlier this week.
So Mom and I headed out to explore, one of most favorite things to do!
I had heard of an antique store out west. The only thing i knew about how to find it was that it has a long gravel driveway with flags at its entrance. So off we went to find it.
Sure enough after a 20 minute drive straight west, we found those waving banners. We turned and headed down the long gravel drive, not sure where it was taking us.
And there is was...it was an antique's haven!
Mom and I had such a great time poking thru all the buildings looking at the old treasures.
The barns and outbuildings dated back to 1839...very impressive!
Then on to Sycamore to my favorite garden shoppe, Blumen Gardens. I just love to explore all the beautiful finds there. I was on a mission to find a cast iron garden urn that matches one i already own. I found it! What a lucky day!
I just love all the wonderful vignettes scattered around their gardens.
I just can not get enough of this beautiful autumn weather!
They are predicting rain for tomorrow, but with alittle luck it will hold off till later in the day, so i can do more exploring!
