cantigny park...

Last Sunday was another gorgeous day, i think we are breaking a record for the most continuous days of beautiful sunshine.  I just could not stay inside again so we took a ride to the Morton Arboretum.  We could not get in!  The traffic was so backed up just to get into the arboretum so we went with plan B.
Plan B turned out to be a great idea...Cantigny Park.
This was the country home of Robert McCormick, editor and publisher of the Chicago for 44 years.  He created a media empire that still survives.
I have not been there for years but i have heard that the gardens are beautiful.
They did not disappoint!

Even the wildlife was enchanting.
This squirrel was so happy to pose for photos!
And then we found a flock of wild turkeys in the woods...what a score!

The weekend is over, but i am hoping this beautiful weather continues!
