"let your heart guide you...
it whispers softly so listen closely"
In Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers class this week, she gave us a wonderful tutorial on how to use photoshop to give our photos a "whisper" effect...that soft and dreamy look.
I knew right away that i wanted to photograph one of my favorite flowers, the ranunculus. I was in luck! One short ride to Trader Joes and there they were just waiting for me.
I had just had a conversation with my daughter about listening to her heart...to those whisperings. I encouraged her to slow down and listen to that voice inside. I have always believed that if you trust and act on your feelings, they will lead you down the right path.
We had been to several doggie daycare centers that day to see which one would be a good fit for our doodlebug. After the visits my daughter said that she just didn't feel good about one of them. I was in total agreement. There was nothing wrong with the place...it was just a feeling we both had. We decided to act on our feeling and not choose this place for our dear Jake.
Later that day came the email lesson from Kim Klassen about whispering and following your heart.
Serendipitous? i think so!

I hope they will inspire you to pick up your camera and shoot!
Until next time...
