"take time to come home to yourself everyday"
~robin cawarjean~
It seems like ages since my last post...i am so sorry...sometimes life just seems to get in the way. I have been so overwhelmed that i have not taken the time to get back to what i enjoy the most...photography and blogging.
Since my last post there has been countless hours of moving and packing up boxes for my mother, endless emails back and forth between my brother and lawyer, car pooling my daughter to her never ending list of summertime activities, a funeral of the father of a dear friend ,doggie sitting for two weeks and to top everything off...a frantic trip to the emergency room!

(after 8 stitches, everything turned out okay)
I woke up this morning and decided that today was a new day...a new opportunity to take some time for me...a time to rejuvenate!
I have been so busy taking care of everyone else, that i put myself on the back burner...i am talking the way back burner!
And then i read Kim Klassen's lesson today ...such perfect timing.
She is suggesting we write ourselves a love letter; fill it with beautiful words and grace. Just the things that we tell others all the time...now it is time to tell it to ourselves.
So i am going to sit down with this decedent sweet roll and robust cup of joe and do it!
This will be a gift from me ... to me!
How good does that get?
Until next time...

Great idea. Gives me an excuse to get my favorite treat - a macchiato and morning bun from Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteRejuvenation is good. Sometimes you need a break to help find your footing again. I hope you enjoyed your treats. Take care my friend :)
