"little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
here comes the sun...here comes the sun
and i say..it's all right"

I am sitting out on my porch, drinking my first sip of coffee...dunkin donuts, freshly ground, black please...watching the clouds roll away and the sun come pouring thru. I just know it is going to be a glorious day here in Chicagoland...sigh.
I just love the connections i have made thru blogland...this week i discovered Kathy's delightful blog, "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out". I just love her fun title, because there are days when i feel that i have indeed snapped my eye out!
Each Sunday she has a linky party title Song~ography. This week's song prompt is "here comes the sun".
For me, my gardens defines sunshine.
They are always a work in progress...in fact just when i thought the back beds were complete...we have hired another landscape architect to "tweek" the design. We met with him yesterday and fell in love with his ideas. He will begin his magic in September...can not wait!
If you have a moment today click here...join in on the song~ography linky party and follow the sun!
Until next time...

What a lovely view from your porch! I adore a shallow depth of field in photography, such softness...really makes the yellow of the flowers POP! Thanks for joining in on Song-ography. Hope to see you again next Sunday with "Lean on Me". Have a great day :)
ReplyDeleteLove your shots!!! You are in my hometown! A place that I dearly love . I come home to visit as often as I can! Will keep my eye out for your posts
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful view from your porch. The second photo of the flowers is stunning. My kids were in Chicago last week and my daughter ran the 1/2 marathon. Wish I could have been there! Enjoy the summer on your porch.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those lovely images are perfection...yes, gardens are always a work in progress, never complete but offering so much joy (except for the weeds, perhaps!!)

I love both your photos, but that last one with the flowers looking like a line is really nice. I hired a garden designer a while ago and it was a great decision. I love the results. Good luck with yours.
